Commissioned to do an original botanical mural for the lovely team at Restoration Hardware. What a fun project and new way of playing with muted color.

Hot palms was a reaction after a trip to Hawaii with a few friends. I was really responding to the bold prints that everyone was wearing at the time.
Here's a print I created using a Sharpie and some Crayola markers. There have been a ton of the 70's daisy revival going on so I wanted to put the Brielle twist on it making it a little rougher and modern.
I wanted to create a collage of my favorite icons in music and cinema. All together in a random gathering. As a child I would sit with my mother and watch Columbo. episodes. It is something that to this day comforts me when a re-run pops on the tv. David Lynch is another icon I am forever grateful for. He is just the coolest and he is also from Philadelphia which I love. I am always willing to watch Both Twin Peaks series and follow up with the movie, Fire Walk With Me with anyone who has never seen it. And then there's Serge. It wasn't until after college that I really formed my love affair with Mr Gainsbourg. There's really nothing more I can say about his beautiful and mysterious music.
I got the idea for this print when I was out one night at a bar called The Tempest in San Francisco. While sitting at one of the tables I noticed years worth of names, doodles and curse words etched into these tabletops from patrons who had one too many cocktails. I took a few snapshots in an effort to create a visual of the underbelly of night life in San Francisco.
THE ERUPT COLLECTION WAS ALL BASED AROUND WHAT A FIRED SYNAPSE OF THE BRAIN MIGHT LOOK LIKE IN RELATION TO OUR NATURAL OCCURING ELEMENTS. i.e. CLOUD FORMATIONS, VOLCANO ERUPTIONS, AND OTHER NATURAL DISASTERS. FOR EACH PRINT I EXPLORED DIFFERENT MARK MAKING TECHNIQUES SUCH AS COLLAGE, USING DIFFERENT TOOLS TO MAKE THOSE MARKS LIKE STRING, PLASTIC BAGS, AND TAPE.
A day in the garden was a project i worked on over the course of a few afternoons when I was living in Philadelphia. My garden had been somewhat unkempt but I liked how wild everything looked. I wanted to give it an element of fire with the use of color. This was digitally printed on Linen and I have these in my home as Window treatments.
HERE IS A SMALL SELECTION OF PRINTS IVE CREATED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF A MORE COMMERCIAL MARKET.
Who doesn't love an odd fruit conversational from time to time?
